It provides a reliable, temporary camera mount on almost any smooth, nonporous surface, such as metal or glass. The Cinemount 3025 is ideal for mounting Mini-DV cameras, still cameras, binoculars & scopes.
Manfrotto 3025 3-D Head A self-adjusting conical bearing locking system allows 360° rotation on both the vertical and horizontal plane for infinite angle adjustment and leveling. The head incorporates easy grip ratchet handles, and will support small to medium format cameras up to 6.6 lbs.
Vacuum Cup (not suction) The vacuum cup employ the force of atmospheric pressure to grip a surface: When a vacuum exists between the cup and the surface on which it is attached, the weight of Earth’s atmosphere holds the cup in place with incredible force. Unlike suction cups that produce a vacuum as they pull away from the surface, this vacuum cup uses a hand-actuated pump to efficiently remove air from between the rubber pad and the attaching surface thus creating a much more reliable hold.

Safety The vacuum cup’s pump features a plunger with a red line, which serves as a visual vacuum indicator. This safety device is recognized as one of the most reliable warning systems available. A few strokes of the plunger seal the cup securely to the attaching surface. When the cup is attached completely, the plunger stops moving and the red line is hidden within the pump. A visible red line indicates that air has leaked back into the pad, making vacuum insufficient to use the cup. The cup has a built in air filter to keep impurities out of the pump and also comes with a plastic cup protector for when it is not in use. Don't trust your equipment to anything less.
Note: The above images are of the older version with long ratchet handels. The new Cinemount 3025 has a more compact ratchet / locking handles and also a lower profile and center of gravity.
