A matte box is a camera accessory that essentially does the same thing as a lens hood and also mounts in front of the lens, but usually includes adjustable fins called French flags. These can be moved and adjusted to reduce lens glare. A matte box is an important device for quality photography and film making. It protects your camera lens from extra light and sun shade. Another purpose of a matte box is to hold glass filters in place in front of the lens.
Adapter ring is screw in type. Available adapter dia : 37mm, 43mm, 52mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm, and 82mm. We provideonly one adapter free with matte box. Note: Kindly make a note in order for adapter according to front lens thread dia of your camcorder or camera. This mattebox can also be mounted directly on Camera lens of 95mm Outer dia. Frech flag is very easily installed by sliding in the hotshoe and then screwing up.

Inbuilt Square filter holder. Another purpose of a matte box is to hold Square filters in place in front of the lens. This sunshade / filter holder provides shading to the digital series of telephoto, wide angle adapters and a variety of lenses.
