Most hand-held shots suffer from a distinct jerkiness. Undesired shocks of walking consist of two elements : Quick movement of the entire camera by a small amount, and Rotation of the camera itself (tilt, pan, and roll). Successful isolation will significantly reduce the size of both types of movement.

Our steadicam features : Universal Camera base plate, Adjustable Gimbal, Adapter for mounting monitor, Battery Plate, Weights for balancing your camera. You can also mount the batteries of some other companies like Sony , Anton. The Anoton battery mounting plate in the following image is for demonstration purpose only. You can also fix the weights downside of the weight plate. ndicator Arm, Indicator Vest, Stand, camera, lcd monitor & battery are for demonstration purpose only.

Gimbal specifications : Wheelbarrow bearing provides Rotational control over camera so the camera can be easily rotated on its axis. Grip swavels left and right from the bolt. You can easily move whole steadicam up and down. Angle bracket enables grip to move up and down.

The camera is mounted on one end of the 'Post', and the battery and monitor ( and whatever special electronics the operator has added) are mounted to the other end. Now, the weight of the camera and the battery and monitor can be balanced to keep them at a greater distance from the 'gimbal'.

The added distance ( & weight) means that the camera moves much faster when rotated at the gimbal - just like the outer edge of a record moves much faster than the inner edge at the spindle.

Since the camera moves faster at the end of the post than it would if mounted at the gimbal, it takes more effort to rotate the camera. (This is why high-wire walkers use a very long pole to help them balance --- instead of increasing weight, they increase length, so the pole increases stability much more than just sticking their arms straight out to their sides)

Universal camera base plate with quick release clamp. The Camera Base plate has both 1/4" and 3/8" mounting slots ( holes ) to accommodate all variety of camera bases. You can slide your camera with base plate of steadicam on both the horizontal and vertical axes , achieved by means of thumbscrews and a movable camera base plate. Picture is showing x-axis movement. The Camera Base plate has both 1/4" and 3/8" mounting screws to accommodate all variety of camera bases.

This helps in setting the camera even more easily. The quick release system uses a lever operated clamp. To mount the camera, you press the lever to lock open a cam-like lock. Now mount the camera to the plate with the help of screws provided.

You then slide the plate into the clamp's front flanges & press it down in back to push down a pin that closes the cam to lock the plate into position. You can slide a plate in only one end of the clamp and out the same ( unidirectional ). You can slide a long plate back and forth in the channel to adjust the camera-subject distance.

Gross balancing & composition adjustments can be achieved by sliding the plate within the jaws of the clamp with a movement range of up to 24mm. Fine adjustment is made with the lead screw ; lead screw delivers 1.25 mm of travel per full revolution.

Balancing the camera : The base of the stabilizing system is made up of heavy aluminium that exerts weights. Main function of these weights is to balance your camera on this stablizer. You can hold lcd monitor at one side of the Flycam Pro 6000. The idea of holding screen at another side of post is that the eye does not touch the camera in order to transfer shock to video.

Therefore, the searcher picture is transferred by means of a internal wiring ( wiring is done from inside the post ). There are slots in post for this very purpose ) to the monitor so that person operating this system can walk or run without giving any shock to this system. The monitor and battery mount is stronger easier to flip for low mode and has a wider range of positions, both vertically and horizontally.
